The 1998 edition of Landmark's well known 'European Public Affairs Directory' has been published. The Directory is a major listing of people and organisations in European public affairs, with related useful information.

The volume is divided into eight main sections: Corporate (European public affairs directors of major international companies); Professional (including European trade and professional organisations, interest groups, chambers of commerce, national federations of business and industry, regions, think tanks, labour unions, international organisations, law firms and political, economic, management and public relations consultants specialising in EU matters, organisers of EU conferences, national trade and professional associations and national associations of chambers of commerce); Media (press agencies in Brussels and the media covering the EU); European Union Institutions; EU information services and sources; Essentials to European public affairs (brief information on EU Institutions and legislative procedures, contacts for grants and loans, codes of conduct regulating European affairs, EU protocol, maps of the EU Institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg and calendar of 1998 events); usefultelephone numbers for people living or staying in Brussels; index of names.

In all the Directory lists 8,000 key decision-makers and organisations. All organisations and individuals in previous editions have been contacted for up-dated information. For all entries full contact details are given including names, addresses, phone and fax numbers, e-mail and internet addresses (where available).

New features for the 1998 edition include: scope of activity of European trade associations and interest groups; specialisations of consultants and law firms; web-site information, where available; expanded coverage of applicant countries to the EU; e-mail addresses of MEPs, where available; expanded coverage on EU electronic information services; and an improved chapter on EU information available on the Internet.

In the crowded market of EU directories 'The European Public Affairs Directory' remains pre-eminent for accuracy, currency, comprehensiveness and ease of use.
