This is the eleventh annual edition of this popular reference guide to opinion-formers in Europe. Each entry has been updated and the volume now includes nearly 11,000 contacts. Chapters cover: European public affairs directors of major international corporations; Professional organisations such as trade associations, interest groups, think tanks and political consultants; Media organisations; European Union institutions; European Union information, such as the European Parliament Information Offices, Euro-Info Centres and European Documentation Centres; Background information for European public affairs, such as an outline of institutions and decision-making in the EU, main contacts for EU funds and grants and codes of conduct regulating public affairs. For each section, there is an alphabetical listing of the contacts, including a list of the areas of work and activities. There is also subject cross referencing to enable the reader to easily identify the contact they need.

Also included are overall indexes of names and organisations covered in the volume.

New features in the 2001 edition include a general index of all organisations mentioned in the directory, significant additions to several chapters, especially professional organisations, media organisations and European Union information. There is also expanded overall coverage of general e-mail addresses and websites and the addition of personal e-mail addresses and direct telephone numbers.
