Abstract:
'EPAD', as The European Public Affairs Directory is affectionately known amongst its many fans, is the leading source for finding up-to-date full contact information on the EU Institutions and related stakeholder organisations (corporate, professional and media) and the personnel working in these organisations. There are approximately 15,000 entries. The primary focus is Brussels. In addition, EPAD provides details of EU information sources and networks. Finally, the volume also has a section called 'Essentials to European public affairs', which provides guidance on the EU's policy making procedures, EU loan and grants, codes of contacts on public affairs, maps of Brussels and the location of the Institutions, transport links and 2003 calendars.

Now in its 13th annual edition, EPAD is constantly evolving. In the new edition the following new developments and significant amendments are included: increased coverage on the candidate countries' regional representations, media, Missions, lawyers; complete contact details of the European Commission Directorates-General and services, including a useful summarised description of the main policy areas of each DG; full contact details for the members and officials of the European Convention; a revamped European Parliament section with more information, such as MEPs' e-mail addresses and direct fax numbers; expanded overall coverage of general e-mail addresses and websites as well as personal e-mail addresses and direct telephone numbers; all the indexes in EPAD are now at the end of the volume and these include indexes of names, organisations, abbreviations and subjects.
