The EU’s special envoy to the Great Lakes Aldo Ajello will start his third visit

to the region next Monday (23 November) in a bid to help end hostilities in the area. During visits to Ethiopia, Angola, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Rwanda, Ajello will present a letter from the Union calling on all parties to end the fighting, withdraw foreign troops from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and start negotiations on a peaceful settlement.
