The EU’s special envoy to the Great Lakes region, Aldo Ajello, is making a 12-day tour

of six south and west African countries as part of the effort to find a peaceful solution to the hostilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ajello will visit South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Angola and Rwanda before attending negotiations on Burundi in Tanzania starting on 12 October.
