Summary: This publication is a follow-up the 2009 annual anti-discrimination (The role of NGOs and trade unions in combating discrimination), organised by the European Commission in Budapest in June 2009. It aims to reflect the variety and diversity of approaches used by NGOs and trade unions to fight discrimination. It contains interviews with representatives of NGOs and trade unions describing their commitments on a daily basis. It seeks to describe some exemplary projects and significant good practices across Europe - including joint initiatives between trade unions and NGOs - and thereby to encourage further exchange and increase cooperation. |
