The annual flagship event held by the 'Friends of Europe' organisation took place on 13 October 2016. The high-level roundtable discussed the risks and the opportunities of disruptive change in four areas: economic models, social integration, leadership and geopolitics. A number of opinion-makers at the event criticised the European ‘intellectual disease’ which has prevented leaders using common sense to reignite the sense of pride in the EU project – starting with the young generation. |
