The Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons in the United Kingdom published a report The UK’s relations with Turkey on the 25 March 2017.

The Committee affirmed the importance of Turkey as an international partner for the UK, but raised concerns about the weakening of both democracy and human rights in the country as the UK moved to strengthen the bilateral relationship.

The UK's relations with Turkey, supported the establishment of a strategic relationship between the UK and Turkey. During the inquiry, the UK emphasised the opportunities inherent in expanding trade, defence, and security ties between the two countries.

+ The Gülenists role in the coup attempt
+ Democratic culture and human rights in Turkey
