US President Clinton has renewed for six months the suspension of a provision in the Helms-Burton Act which would have allowed Americans to sue Europeans in US courts for doing business in Cuba. But he added: “We remain firmly opposed to all extraterritorial legislation, whatever its source, and will continue to defend our own interests.”
