Third round of negotiations between Cuba and the EU over a Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement

The Third Round of negotiations for an EU-Cuba Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement took place on 4-5 March 2015. This was the first EU-Cuba meeting since the United States and Cuba re-established diplomatic relations in December 2014.

It was later announced that the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy would visit Cuba on 23-24 March, which became the first visit of an EU High Representative to the country.

Negotiating directives leading to these negotiations were adopted by the Council of the European Union in February 2014. Formal talks started in April 2014. The second round of negotiations took place in August 2014.
