Tools for effective trade union verbal communication

The voice is the essential instrument with regard to communication and interaction in the human sphere. In everyday private and working life, we depend on the functioning of our voice. After all, almost 40 % of theimpression a speaker makes on his audience is determined by the sound of his voice. It is not so much the content that the audience remembers, but the atmosphere a lecturer creates through his voice. This energy is immediately transmitted to the audience and is the reason for either acceptance or rejection. Of the content, as surveys have shown, only about 7% stays in the memory of the public.

ETUI has decided to edit this manual and present a set of tools and practical exercises Trade Unionists can apply to improve their communication skills.
