Trading scheme ‘will raise electricity prices’

According to a report released by the (UK) Department of Trade and Industry on 11 January 2006 (see related URL), higher electricity prices for UK businesses and consumers are likely for years as a result of the European Union's Emissions Trading Scheme, while electricity generating companies reap the profits.
