The UK Government, in September 2007, published a revised guide on the transposition of European legislation to ensure that the UK implements EU laws in the clearest and least burdensome way possible. The guidance was part of the Government response to a review carried out by Lord Davidson in 2006, which looked into the question of whether the Government had gone beyond the minimum requirements of EU legislation in the past.

Please note that a revised edition of the guidance was published by the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in 2011 and may be accessed via the Related Urls.
