From 2004 access to this title is free on the web. Note that the link may take you through to the LATEST edition of the Yearbook available. The first part of the publication presents economic and social profiles of the 55 countries belonging to the UN Economic Commission for Europe. The data for these profiles are for the most recent year available, usually 2001. The 13 chapters in the second part paint a broad picture of recent social and economic life in the countries of the region. Each chapter focuses on one of the following fields: population, families and households, education, employment, economy, health, housing, transport and tourism, energy, environment, communication, participation, crime and safety (table of contents).
