Trichet to join EADS in board shake-up

EADS, the pan-European aerospace company, confirmed on the 26 January 2012 that Tom Enders, the German boss of Airbus – EADS’s passenger jet subsidiary – would be the new chief executive. Arnaud Lagardère, a French media magnate and EADS shareholder, would take over as chairman.

In addition, Jean-Claude Trichet, the former head of the European Central Bank, was appointed to the board of EADS as the Franco-German aerospace group’s state shareholders finally gave the green light to a succession of changes at the top of the company.
