Trouble ahead for UK’s nuclear hopes

Politico published a feature in June 2015 regarding the future of the United Kingdom's nuclear power stations, as some member states of the European Union announced they were ready to support Austria's complaint over the European Commission's approval in October 2014 of state aid provided by the British government to Hinkley Point C power unit.

Austria confirmed on the 6 July 2015 that it had filed a legal challenge at the European Court of Justice against EU-granted state subsidies for a new nuclear power plant in Britain.
