Tsipras under pressure to tear down Turkish border fence

EurActiv reported in November 2015 that Greece's government was facing increasing pressure to tear down a fence it had built in 2011 to prevent illegal migrants to cross the border with Turkey by land.

Such fence was seen as an encouragement for refugees and migrants to take other routes to Europe, namely by sea where many end up dying.
