Article reports that Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s Prime Minister, may visit the Gaza Strip in September 2011 as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians against Israel’s naval blockade of Gaza, in what would be one of the most dramatic moves to date in Turkey's dispute with Israel.

The issue came to a head in early September 2011 with the release of a long delayed report by a UN panel that pronounced the blockade legal, but called the deaths of Turkish civilians in 2010 unacceptable and suggested Israel express regret and pay compensation.

Turkey also said it would seek to convince the UN General Assembly to refer the case to the International Court of Justice.
