Turkey’s government-sponsored constitutional reforms can be put to a referendum as planned in September 2010, after a constitutional court ruling on the 7 July 2010 annulled only details of the most controversial proposals. The Constitutional Court rejected a request by the main opposition CHP party to annul the reform package.
