Turning Territorial Diversity into Strength. Green Paper on Territorial Cohesion: Communication from the Commission, October 2008

The European Commission adopted on 6 October 2008 the Green
Paper on Territorial Cohesion. It responds to the demands
from the European Parliament, the EU ministerial meeting on
urban development and territorial cohesion in Leipzig in May
2007 and the contributions that many stakeholders made
during the public consultation on the 4th Cohesion report. It
aims to encourage a wide-ranging public discussion until 28
February 2009 to come to a better and shared understanding
of territorial cohesion and its implications for EU policies
