Tymoshenko denounces court case ‘lynching’ / EU warns Kiev over Tymoshenko trial

Yulia Tymoshenko, the former Ukrainian Prime Minister, denounced on the 29 September 2011 as a 'lynching' and a 'show' the trial that could see her jailed. The judgment was predicted to be announced on the 30 September 2011.

EU leaders have warned that a guilty verdict and jail term for Ukraine’s leading opposition politician could be a major setback for hopes professed by the administration of President Viktor Yanukovich’s for closer integration with Europe.
