Background information:

The United Kingdom’s environmental policy sector has been profoundly affected by European Union (EU) membership. As the UK approaches the EU’s exit door, uncertainties about what waits beyond abound. The government has promised a ‘green Brexit’ but exactly what this means and the challenges to its delivery remain under explored.

This new academic report focuses on the environmental policy after Brexit, finding weaker environmental protections than already exist under EU law.

On 12 April 2018 Friends of the Earth UK published a report about the UK environmental policy post-Brexit.
