Ukraine: Quo vadis?

This Chaillot Paper brings together four perspectives on Ukrainian domestic politics and foreign policy. The first two chapters investigate the causes of recent domestic crises and the role of single groups of actors (principally the Ukrainian oligarchs); the third chapter takes stock of Ukraine’s relations with the EU; the final chapter focuses on how relations with Russia and its CIS neighbours remain a crucial dimension of Ukraine’s foreign policy, and examines the extent to which Ukraine has become, or has the potential to become, a force for stability in the region.
