UN rejects EU request to attend green aviation meeting

The United Nations' International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) snubbed in January 2016 a request by European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker to allow members of the European Parliament's environment committee to sit in on a crunch meeting to reduce the industry’s contribution to climate change.
