US Vice-President seeks to allay fears on his first European tour

The US Vice-President Mike Pence visited Europe in February 2017, meeting with key national and EU stakeholders including European Council President Donald Tusk, High Representative Federica Mogherini, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels on the 20 February 2017, and with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Munich Security Conference on the 18 February 2017.

He highlighted continued US support for both the European Union and NATO.
