EU ministers responsible for energy matters held an informal videoconference on 14 December 2020. The agenda included the following items:

  • Exchange of views on Member States' priorities concerning the integration of the energy systems, ahead of a forthcoming update of relevant EU regulatory framework;
  • Exchange of views on potential alignment of the 2030 EU energy targets with a higher climate ambition for 2030;
  • Presentation by the European Commission on latest developments in the field of external energy relations;
  • Presentation by the Portuguese Council Presidency of its priorities in the field of energy.
