Video conference of the Eurogroup, 18 January 2021

Summary:

The Eurogroup held a meeting via videoconference on 18 January 2021. It met in its regular format as well as in its inclusive format. The agenda included the following items:

• Discussion on the macroeconomic imbalances in the Eurozone, on the basis of a technical note prepared by the European Commission;
• Exchange of views on the preparation of the national Recovery and Resilience Plans (RRPs), in line with the priorities agreed in the Euro Area Recommendation (EAR);
• Exchange of views on the global monetary and financial system, in particular on prospects for transatlantic cooperation.
