Summary:

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held on 3 May 2022 via videoconference, in its inclusive format.

During the meeting, the Eurogroup President presented his proposal for a work plan aimed at completing the Banking Union. Such work plan had been request by the Euro Summit in December 2020, covering all outstanding elements needed to complete it. Leaders underlined this mandate again at their informal meeting in March 2022, emphasising that a completed Banking Union must be part of the equation for financing the needs of the economy in the European Union (EU).
