A videoconference was held by the members of the European Economic Area (EEA) Council on 28 May 2021.
The members of the EEA Council discussed the overall functioning of the EEA Agreement and the effect of COVID-19 (coronavirus) on the internal market. The members of the EEA Council also held a policy debate on strategic autonomy.

In the margins of the video conference of the members of the EEA Council, the ministers held an informal exchange of views on Russia, the international dimension of COVID-19 and climate and security.
