Visit of House of Commons Scrutiny Committee. EU Stability and Growth Pact: Ministerial presentation

Following a brief introduction to the work of the Joint Committee on European Affairs of the Irish Parliament by the Chairman of the Committee, Deputy G Mitchell, the Chairman of the European Scrutiny Committee of the UK House of Commons, Jimmy Hood, outlined the workings of the latter Committee. In the afternoon, there followed a Ministerial Presentation on the EU Stability and Growth Pact.
