Ms von der Leyen was hosted by Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. During the visit, the Leaders drove progress on shared and urgent priorities, including maintaining a robust response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine; fighting climate change and accelerating clean innovation; pursuing energy security and sustainable economic growth; and promoting women's economic empowerment.

In this occasion, the European Commission President also addressed the Canadian Parliament.
