The Security and Defence Agenda (SDA) (formerly New Defence Agenda (NDA)) has established itself as the only regular forum in Brussels where NATO and the EU, industries and academia, political figures and journalists gather to discuss the future of European and transatlantic defence policies and to contribute to a series of Discussion Papers that reflect key points raised in these debates. The SDA also serves as a networking centre of defence-related think tanks around Europe. The aim of the NDA is not to replicate more academic research-based projects but to give greater prominence to the complex questions of how the EU and NATO policies can complement one another, and to stimulate reaction within the international press. |
