Welsh success in research showcased to the EU

European Commissioner for Science and Research, Mr Janez Potočnik, visited Wales, November 2007, to see first hand examples of European funded research projects. His day included visits to Techniquest in Cardiff, the Manufacturing Engineering Centre at Cardiff University and Zarlink Semiconductor in Caldicot. Commissioner Potočnik met also with the First Minister for Wales, the Rt Hon Rhodri Morgan AM, Vice Chancellors from Wales' universities and Eluned Morgan MEP.
