In response to the obesity epidemic in the WHO European Region, WHO will hold a Ministerial Conference on Counteracting Obesity in Istanbul, Turkey in November 2006. Obesity concerns not only health but also other sectors. In the run-up to the Conference, some ministers and leaders in intergovernmental fora and civil society give their views on what should be done. |
