Who holds the power in the European Parliament? Assessing the influence of individual MEPs

This study has looked at all (known) political activities of the Members of the European Parliament since July 2014 to identify who are the true movers and shakers in European citizens' power house. The algorithm VoteWatch Europe used for measurement combines hard data with qualitative observations put forward and weighted by over 200 Brussels insiders. It shows who are the most influential EU Parliamentarians ahead of the mid-term reshuffle which will take place in early 2017.

The report also shows the trends by country, revealing that some countries punch way above their weight, while others are less influential than observers would expect. The annexes also include the top 10 most influential MEPs for the largest EU Member States.
