Why Turkey’s Disapproval of the West’s Response to the Coup Has Limited Merit

Although Turks across the political and ideological spectrum seethed at the West’s apparently lukewarm condemnation of the abortive coup in Turkey on 15 July 2016 there were valid reasons behind the response in the EU Institutions, NATO and national capitals in Europe and the US.
