Work programme 2014

In 2014, ECHA is laying the foundation for the next five years, to advance the safe use of chemicals. Among its priorities are the identification of the necessary steps for the last REACH registration deadline in 2018; working towards the achievement of political targets on the safe use of chemicals in 2020; and a smooth authorisation process of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) and biocidal substances and products.

The Agency will also follow up the Commission’s REACH review.

Close cooperation with the Member States, the European Commission and Accredited Stakeholder Organisations will help ECHA to achieve its strategic objectives.
