Worker consultation changes anger employers

UK business leaders, on 9 October 2001, attacked a move by the European Parliament to undermine a compromise agreed on common rules for worker consultation across the European Union. The Parliament's Employment and Social Affairs Committee has agreed changes which threaten to reverse concessions won when Britain agreed to the Information and Consultation Directive in June 2001.
