Abstract:

The aim of this book is to situate European law in its political, social and economic context. It provides studies of the numerous aspects of EC (European Community) law in all its variety and complexity.

Alongside these studies, the yearbook contains a 'surveys' section on European internal market law, environmental law and the question of legal co-operation in the Council of Europe, as well as a book review section. Otherwise, it consists of research which falls approximately into the following categories: the problem of the EU (European Union) and 'constitutionalisation', the euro and the European 'demos', facilities in EC law, the issue of free movement, economic migration, problems of race and equality, European immigration law and same-sex partners, international law in Community law, the banana dilemma, state liability, regulations on accessing documents and the contemporary state of EC constitutional law.

The yearbook is intended for practitioners, academics and more advanced students, as well as government and community officials.
