Communication published by the European Commission on 17 May 2018 which proposes a comprehensive approach towards connected and automated mobility.

The Communication sets out an EU-wide agenda for a common vision on automated mobility and identifies supporting actions for developing and deploying key technologies, services and infrastructure. It aims to ensure that EU legal and policy frameworks are ready to support the deployment of safe connected and automated mobility, while simultaneously addressing societal and environmental concerns which could be essential for public acceptance.

This document was adopted as part of the Third Mobility Package, put forward in May 2018.
