Foreign Affairs Council, 28 November 2016

A meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council was held on 28 November 2016. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Discussion on the revision of the European Union's development policy, based on a Communication from the European Commission;

+ Discussion on the future relations between the EU and the African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, in view of the expiry of the Cotonou agreement in 2020;

+ Exchange of views on the state of play and ongoing initiatives relating to migration and development.

+ Adoption of conclusions on mainstreaming digital solutions and technologies in EU development policy, on the first results report on EU international cooperation and development and on energy and development.
