LuxLeaks whistleblowers go on trial

Three men went on trial in Luxembourg on the 26 April 2016 accused of leaking thousands of confidential documents in 2014 revealing corporate tax deals and alleged aggressive tax avoidance.

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists condemned the trial of French journalist and ICIJ member Edouard Perrin and two whistleblowers from PwC, Antoine Deltour and Raphael Halet, by Luxembourg prosecutors.

A verdict in the case was estimated to be given in mid-June 2016.
