Member states blame the Commission for being shortsighted in research

Report from EurActiv regarding a letter sent by several memeber states to Commissioner Carlos Moedas calling for more effort into fulfilling Europe’s research and innovation potential, including reaching a 3% of GDP investment target.

As the European Commission prepared its Work Programme for 2016, other areas became a priority in terms of policy-making and funding. The situation caused concerns to some member states.
