Press Release: EU and US hold second round of trade negotiations (TTIP) in Brussels on 11-15 November / EU, US return to major trade negotiations / Mood good, but no results in EU and US trade talks

The EU and the US held a second round of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) talks in Brussels on 11-15 November 2013. The week-long round of negotiations replaces the talks originally scheduled for 7th-11th October 2013 which were postponed due to the shutdown of the US government.

Discussions centred on investment rules, trade in services, energy and raw materials, as well as a range of regulatory issues, including regulatory coherence, technical barriers to trade and sectoral approaches.
