In a judgement given on the 10 May 2017 the General Court of the European Court of Justice annulled the European Commission decision refusing the registration of the proposed European citizens’ initiative ‘Stop TTIP’.

The Court said that the proposal did not constitute an inadmissible interference in the legislative procedure, but the legitimate initiation of a democratic debate in a timely manner.
