Remarks by High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini following the EU-Turkey High Level Political Dialogue

Turkey and the European Union agreed on 9 September 2016 to ease tensions between both sides during a meeting of the EU–Turkey High Level Political Dialogue.

The EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy highlighted Turkey's EU Candidate status, condemned the attempted military coup and reminded the importance of common cooperation in order to facilitate the solution for the Syrian conflict.
