UK Infuriating Partners by Obstructing EU Foreign Policy

Article reports that the United Kingdom is obstructing attempts to forge a common EU foreign policy with British representatives having prevented joint EU statements on a number of issues in 2011. Tensions between Britain and its European partners have been mounting during the euro crisis.

Pierre Vimont, the Secretary General of the European External Action Service, complained privately that London has blocked a total of 96 EU statements.
