A hardline nationalist rally in central Belgrade on the 29 July 2008 to protest at the imminent extradition of Radovan Karadzic attracted fewer people than expected but still ended in violence. Soon after the protest Mr Karadzic was extradited to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) at The Hague.
