Press Release: The Juncker Commission: Maroš Šefčovič proposed as Vice-President for Energy Union, Violeta Bulc as Transport Commissioner

The Council of the European Union adopted on the 15 October 2014 the list of Commissioners-designate amended by President-elect Jean-Claude Juncker the day before to include the name of the new Slovenian candidate, Violeta Bulc.

President-elect Juncker was therefore able to announce the intention to attribute the Transport portfolio to Violeta Bulc, Slovenian candidate for Commissioner. Consequently, Maroš Šefčovič, Slovak Commissioner-designate, would have been allocated the portfolio of Vice-President for Energy Union.
