Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council, 13 October 2016

A meeting of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council was held on 13 October 2016. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Agreement on the general approach regarding the revised directive protecting workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work;

+ Agreement on a directive dealing with the work in fishing Convention 2007 of the International Labour Organisation;

+ Discussion on the implementation of the recommendation on long-term unemployment, including a presentation of its review of the Youth Guarantee and the Youth Employment initiatives;

+ Policy debate on a New Skills Agenda for Europe.
